Maozi (PRC), the pen name of the poet Yu Qing, was born in the city of Yidu in Hubei Province in the 1960s. She currently resides in Yichang. She used to be a worker, a salesman, a freelancer, and an editor. Her numerous accolades include Yangtze River Artist of the Year, Wen Yiduo Poetry Prize, and Li Du Poetry Awards. Her published poetry collections include The Difficulties of Time and My Homesickness Is Different from Yours.
