完成艾弗瑞幼童A、B、C級教程的學生，可接續課程D級。為了啟發幼童們更多的興趣，並顧慮到他們的小手，循序漸進的編排新基礎樂理課程，使學生能輕鬆學習鍵盤上位置的變化，及熟記位置的名稱，培養出良好的識譜能力。
首先複習G位置，再介紹一個新的G位置（即左手的高八度）。同時編排了許多相同的樂曲形態在不同位置上彈奏，訓練學生能流暢的在鍵盤上移動雙手位置。
接續複習升、降記號，並介紹還原記號、四音音階的使用，再進階至大調音階的構成，且將其運用於後面的樂曲上，使學生更加了解大調音階的概念！
學習完幼童全級教材，可依學生的狀況，晉級至學齡版的第二級，能促使孩童們學習中得到更多的成就感。
